It's March

It's March. A year ago, on the 23rd of this month we had completed all our paperwork for our dossier. We sent to off to be reviewed by the agency. This is, of course, before they decided to stop having the families do their dossier ahead of time. May of last year, the agency decided that since the wait was getting longer that the families should wait to do all their paperwork until after they got their referrals. We lucked out on that and now only have to update our police reports and our doctor's reports once we get the referral.

I was hoping to be "matched" by this month but I don't want to get too optimistic and just get let down at the end of the month. We are at the stage of "aggravation, disappointment and lack of hope". We really appreciate people staying interested in the process for so long. It's hard for us to give any additional information when we don't get updates ourselves but it's nice when you know people still do think about you.

Another good thing this month is my birthday. Year 30 was rough and I'll be glad to put it behind me and move on to year 31. I would like to give a shout out to the other March birthdays we know: My cousins in Florida, Kevin and Kyle on the 7th, my friend from OT school Dawn on the 9th and our friend Chris on the 30th.

Continue the well wishes and we will continue to update you on the progress, no matter how slow.

The wait must be driving you all crazy ~ no SBH pun intended! Hang in there, I'm turning 31 in April - had no idea we were so close in age!

Your baby is coming soon ... I can feel it. We have our fingers crossed for you and can't wait until you have more to write about so we can read it.
